The role
As Construction Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the package, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to deliver safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading construction delivery across tunnelling, stations and fit-out
- Driving performance against programme, budget, safety and quality objectives
- Coordinating construction teams, specialist subcontractors and key project interfaces
- Working closely with design, engineering, commercial and planning teams to resolve challenges and maintain progress
- Building strong relationships with the client and other project stakeholders
- Identifying construction risks and implementing practical mitigation measures
- Developing a high-performing team with clear accountability and a strong delivery focus
What we’re looking for
- A strong background in major metro and tunnelling projects
- Proven experience working for a main contractor on large, complex infrastructure schemes
- A seasoned project leader with a track record of successful construction delivery
- In-depth technical knowledge of tunnelling and station construction, with experience spanning structural works through to fit-out
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Sound commercial awareness and a practical approach to managing risk, programme and resources
- Confident communication skills and experience managing senior stakeholder relationships
