Toby has a healthy obsession with all things recruitment – He is highly competitive and genuinely believes he can fill any job. He is the inspiring leader of the Highfield Co. – a man people say resembles David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Craig or Harvey Spectre (his words), where in fact the man he actually resembles is Charlie Hunham (also his words).
With over a decade’s worth of experience recruiting both in the UK and Internationally across the Construction, Civil Engineering and energy sectors he is well placed to assist you with needs at any level. Oh, and he is completely and utterly terrified of heights.
Director - Energy
Tom is obsessed with the Energy sector – his experience in that space is second to none and he genuinely loves what he does. He was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Cape Town before moving to the UK in his teens. He likes to think he looks like Bruce Willis, but let’s be fair he’s probably closer to Phil Mitchell! An all-round great guy and an equity director, Tom is a family man, a socialite and the leader of the Energy team. If he wasn’t a recruiter, he says he would probably have been a teacher, or something similar working with people.
Co-founder of the Highfield Company, Pete’s career in recruitment precedes him BUT, here is something you probably didn’t know. Whilst recruiting in South Africa for John Sisk, back in 2002, Pete ended up having breakfast with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who was staying in the same hotel in Sandton! Pete has over twenty years’ experience in recruiting all over the world, but what would he be if he wasn’t a recruiter?? Says a man that sees the world in numbers: “probably a Finance Director..!!”
Pete remains hands on with the delivery of Search Assignments and other complex recruitment projects, juggling his time with his other business venture, Sunblink. Many of Pete’s clients have used his services for 20 years now, with repeat work again and again. Pete takes great pride in the strong statistics of his placements.
Over 90% of the candidates people introduces to his clients remain with that company more than 2 years later. Pete hasn’t needed to credit an assignment fee in almost 6 years now. Pete’s philosophy is all about making sure the placement for both individual and employer are a long term fit for both parties.
Pete’s clientele include client organisations, main contractors and specialist subcontractors.
Pete works closely with Martin Collins on delivery of assignments.
A lifelong Saints fan and lover of all things heavy metal, Martin can often be found gracing St Mary’s Stadium and at various gigs and festivals.
His recruitment experience spans more decades than he cares to admit, but as a result his experience is unrivalled. If you’ve ever spoken to Mart, you’ll know that he spent the first 11 years of his career as an Estimator with Costain – experience which serves him well in his role as an international construction recruiter.
If Martin wasn’t a recruiter, he would have been an Electrician. Also, according to the internet, Martin has a 100% match as a Jonny Depp lookalike. Ridiculous.
Martin’s 20 years in construction recruitment has given him a stable customer list who work with him closely on assignments. Martin’s skills are premiership level at sourcing hard to find Unicorn candidates.
Martin works closely with Pete Marston on delivery of assignments.
Rosie was once a Wimbledon ball girl before moving to Southampton where she gained a degree in Psychology.
Rosie is a successful Senior Consultant working in the UK Civil Engineering sector where she has worked with everyone from the largest contractors down to small family owned business’.
Working across the UK Civil Engineering market Rosie has a particular focus on all technical roles within; Rail, Highways, Water, Power transmission & Distribution, Marine and Geotechnical sectors.
Rosie builds strong, long lasting relationships with clients and candidates as she genuinely cares about everyone involved in the process. Her depth of experience allows her to understand the not just the technical requirements of the role but also how the smaller details can make all the difference.
Pete has more than ten years recruitment experience and has amassed a wealth of technical knowledge, his background in Civil Engineering recruitment is an enviable one.
