ROLE: Workshop Manager
LOCATION: Test Valley, Hampshire
SALARY: £30,000 – £45,000 Dependent on Experience
My client is in a really exciting time of the business, with a brand new management team in place and exciting visions for the future. This is your chance to be part of rapidly growing specialist steel and metalwork fabricator.
We are looking for a proven workshop manager, required to assist and oversee the fabrication workshop for a leading steel and metalwork contractor.
Duties:
Managing the steel fabrication works as safely and as efficiently as possible Scheduling fabrications to meet and exceed customer delivery requirements
Supervising and coordinating the work of the production team
Ensure all welding and fabrication operations are carried out and executed in a manner which meets the requirements of the customer.
Assess steel fabrication requirements for site installations, review drawings / raise questions and resolve any design issues with the client and installation team.
Experience and Skills Required A proven track record of managing a fabrication facility Clear understanding of relevant health & safety legislation and practices
The ability to generate risk assessments and method statements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to understand and interpret technical 2D and 3D drawings
Package: Salary is negotiable and will depend on experience. This is a full-time position, working Monday – Friday
