Manager – Information Security Operations

Incumbent is fully qualified systems analyst with good in-depth knowledge of Information Security operations area, and will lead the operations and projects in this field with minimum direction

Key Accountabilities

• Leads the SOC operations, Identity & Access Management, GRC and Vulnerability Management as per Cybersecurity framework and associated policy, procedures.
• Performs and/or facilitates risk assessments, vulnerability tests and reports to management with findings and undertake measures to ensure conformance.
• Design, develop, test, install, customize and troubleshoot information security systems and solutions to ensure protection of IT assets, business functions and requirements.
• Reviews existing operations within his area of assignment to determine potential problems; performs cost analyses and performance surveys; recommends and develops solutions to problems and deficiencies; suggests revisions to standards and procedures, as necessary
• Design, develop, test, install, customize and troubleshoot information security systems and solutions to ensure protection of IT assets, business functions and requirements.
• Conducts Vulnerability assessment and threat prevention on regular basis on company Networks.
• Analyze changes to computing infrastructure, perform systems outages investigations, and maintain KPIs reporting.
• Monitor and manage security events, logs of Information technology and Business systems.
• Maintain and support cybersecurity framework, policies and procedures
• Conduct Cybersecurity awareness sessions to the users of Company information systems.
• Support, coach and develop plans for younger talents in Information Security Operations
• Participates in the activities of computer and professional societies; serves on working committees within such groups; may attend national and international congresses or conferences

Education Bachelor of Science (BS) OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Technology (MIS), Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics or equivalent.

Professional Qualifications IT Industry Accredited and related certificate e.g. ITIL, CCSP, CEH, CISA, CISM

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Proficient with frameworks and standards associated with Information security/GRC such as ISO 27001, NIST, ISO 38500, COBIT 5 Familiar with frameworks and standards associated with IT like ITIL, ISC 20000 etc. Ability to work under own initiative and under tight time pressures – planning, prioritizing, and controlling own workload.

Experience Five (5) years in Information security Operations

Languages Fluent in written and spoken English Language, Analytical Skills, Communication Skills.
